Only two stops from the nation’s capital along the Orange Line, Courthouse carries with it the appearance of being part of Washington D.C.. Being the seat of Arlington County’s government, Courthouse houses primary administrative buildings, hence the neighborhood’s name. The urban village consists of a combination of high-rise residential and business buildings mixed with the government buildings. Courthouse brings the Washingtonian experience, without being in Washington DC.

The streets of Courthouse are lined with endless food and entertainment options. The village is well known for its Flea Market and Farmer’s market held on Saturday’s from 8:00am until noon. Shoppers have the ability to buy local, fresh produce as well as the odds and ends found in most flea markets. The Flea and Farmer’s Market are held at the Courthouse Plaza, located in the heart of the village, a premiere pedestrian mall stocked with restaurants, shop and a movie theater.

Courthouse does not fall short when it comes to food. There are a number of local establishments in and around the Plaza, as well as a few City Smart Living staples including Ireland’s Four Courts and Ragtime, to name a few. Transportation

Transportation options in Courthouse are top-notch. The Courthouse Metro station, an Orange Line stop, is in the center of the village. Other forms of transit include Metrobus and Art routes. Courthouse also has easy access to several major roads including Route 50 , Interstate 66, and Interstate 395.

In addition to the driving and transit options, Courthouse is very bike and pedestrian friendly. Most roads have bike lanes and wide sidewalks which allow for safe passage through the village. Capital Bikeshare also has several stations in Courthouse.

Courthouse is for residents who want the stately feel of Washington D.C. without actually living in the district. Courthouse has a much more “resident-friendly” vibe than Rosslyn, due to an abundance of community offerings including the Flea and Farmer’s markets.
