Melinda’s real estate career started in real estate marketing and development in 2000. With the condo boom of 2004 she made a career shift and began selling with the Mayhood Company, a luxury condominium sales company in the DC metropolitan area. In 2008, she received the Great American Living Award for selling over $22,000,000 in new home sales. As her last luxury $1M project was nearing an end she felt a transition into re-sale would be an adventurous and exciting opportunity. Melinda is a licensed member of NAR (National Association of Realtors) and NVAR (Northern Virginia Association of Realtors). On the home that we purchased, it was a very competitive bidding process with multiple offers and escalations. We submitted a very competitive offer based on her recommendations, which ended up being the second-highest offer. However, under her guidance, we threatened to withdraw our offer, which got the seller’s attention and we ended up with a house in our dream neighborhood.
We cannot speak anymore highly of Melinda and her professionalism. Buying a house was very stressful for us, but she made the process as easy as possible.
