Cassidy grew up in Northern Virginia and attended the Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology. She worked full-time during college and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Master’s degree in International Commerce and Policy from George Mason University, specifically conducting research in the field of behavioral economics and graduating summa cum laude. Cassidy worked seven years as an intelligence officer for the Department of Defense. She managed teams across the globe, including in Angola, Sri Lanka, Guinea, and Germany. Her reports were submitted to the House Permanent and Senate Select Committees on Intelligence. She went on to write policy for the Defense Intelligence Agency and later to serve as an Economist writing defense intelligence briefs that were included in the President’s Daily Brief and briefings for the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. Regularly working with and briefing high-level government officials, including three star generals, trained Cassidy to be a skilled communicator and negotiator.
During her time at the Defense Intelligence Agency, she received the Meritorious Civilian Service medal twice- the agency’s highest honor for civilian employees.Cassidy completed extensive project management training and is Lean Six Sigma certified.
Cassidy has had a long-held passion for real estate and decided to enter the field in 2015. It is now her mission to enable clients to find their perfect homes and to achieve their personal dreams of home ownership. Her mission is to empower her clients through home ownership.
Cassidy lives in Courthouse, Arlington with her husband, Matt, and their rescue dog, Violet. Cassidy has personally fostered eight rescue dogs over the past two years and has helped coordinate and fundraise for the rescue of dozens of dogs. Cassidy and her husband are donors to Humane Society International, Animal Hope and Wellness, So Others Might Eat in Washington DC, and Habitat for Humanity. Cassidy also sponsors the care and education of a child through the Peace for Paul Foundation. Her husband, Matt, is a real estate developer and serves on the board of Habitat for Humanity and the Rosslyn Business Improvement District. Cassidy is deeply committed to lifting and empowering others and has discovered her vehicle for that passion in real estate.
