Located in Courthouse you will get a taste of the South at Bayou Bakery. With an extended happy hour, each Monday through Friday, from 5-9 you can enjoy tasty treats such as spicy cheese straws or pickled black-eyed pea humus for $3 each. Beer is on tap as well with $3 sips of Abita Amber. This coffee bar bakery has a homey feel and incredible eats; stay for the last hour and buy one, get a free pastry treat for dessert or breakfast the next day.

Enjoy the mod-Greek style of Kapnos Taverna in Ballston, and their cocktail and spirits inspired happy hour, Monday through Friday from 3-6. $5 beers and $6 wines compliment an array of $7 cocktails such as Hannibals, Martinis, and Island Time. Classic Greek tastes on the menu include dolmade plates (stuffed grape leaves), spanakopita and marinated olives for $5 each.

Experience the French countryside at Lyon Hall Brasserie in Clarendon. Hand-crafted cheeses, classic French breads and pastries wait alongside four incredible mussels dishes at $10 each. Here happy hour happens every day, from 3-7, and includes $5 wines and beers from a huge variety of choices. When you go, be sure to try what is said to be one of the best snacks in town, the Lyon Hall Frankfurter. For $7 you get a short rib hotdog in a poppy seed bun with sauerkraut and mustard – tasty indeed.

Ser in Ballston will take you a world away, to the incredible food culture of Madrid, Spain. Called the Neighborhood Hour, Ser offers a happy hour every day at both the bar and family table. $7 Spanish delights are available such as Croquetas (chicken, ham or spinach croquettes), Puntillitas (crispy mini-squid with jalapeño) or Setas (sautéed mushrooms). Add in Sangria for $6 a glass, a variety of wines for $7 and classic cocktails for $8, and the evening is set.

For another American classic happy hour, head over to Texas Jacks in Lyon Park. Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 4-7 where you can get a taste of incredible classic barbeque. $5 Trail Bites include their popular brisket sandwiches, and pulled pork nachos. These are complimented with wine or draft beers at $5 each.
