Median Prices Rise in Arlington

by Dan Lesniak

forsale1Recently released data by MRIS shows that Arlington County is the place to be. Whether you are selling or buying, there is no place like our area. In particular, when it comes to selling your home, more buyers are moving here, and housing is in greater demand. Orange Line Living is poised to continue this trend; by being an ideal place to live an urban life near the capital, with so much to offer, it is hard to resist. According to MRIS data, the median price of a home has gone up 18.4% as of November 2014. The median cost was reported at $590,000.

This great increase in the median price for homes reflects a strong housing market, which is expected to hold. There were 182 homes sold in November, and currently there is a 2.4 month housing supply, or 536 homes for sale on the market as reported by MRIS as well. This is another indicator of a strong housing market. If these figures remain steady or continue to rise,  as expected, it will warrant a great spring momentum for the area.

2014 is ending on the plus side as a sellers’ market, and 2015 is poised to keep the trend going. If you are ready to sell your home, now is a great time to get the process started. If you are ready to buy a home, you have many options to choose from. Myself, and the Orange Line Living team are here to help you with our unique and specialized services so you can turn your home dreams into reality.
