Orange Line Madness: The Ballston and Virginia Square Region

The Orange Line Madness Bracket continues with our release of another region. We have previously released the Clarendon and Courthouse Region as well as the Rosslyn Region. As a reminder our bracket seedings were based on input from several top Arlington VA real estate agents. The Ballston and Virginia Square Region

16:  The Hyde Park Condos are located across Glebe road at 4141 Henderson Road. This 12 story high rise building is four blocks away from the Ballston metro is home to 332 condos homes. Built in 1973 it has amenities such as an outdoor pool as well as a concierge.

15:  The Summerwalk Condos are made up of two buildings located at 1029 Stuart Street and 1020 Stuart street just across the street from the Ballston metro. This condo project was built in 1985 and is has 179 condo homes and amenities such as a community room, outdoor pool and garage parking.

14:  The Ballston Park Condos are located at 1050 Stuart street and have 146 units. This high rise condo project was built in 1995 and is located directly across the street from the Ballston metro. Amenities in the building include a fitness center, a party room and underground parking.

13:  The Windsor Plaza is a a group of two mid rise buildings that is located in the heart of Ballston. The two buildings ( 1045 Utah Street and 1050 Taylor Street) each house 92 condo homes and residents enjoy amenities such as an outdoor pool and a party room. Many of the units feature glass enclosed sunrooms and some have larger open terraces. In addition to underground parking many units also have storage units.

12:  The Westview Condo is located at 10001 Vermont street. This high rise building is home to 185 condos and has amenities such as:  fitness center, rooftop deck and pool, business center, library and underground parking. The location gives residents easy access to the Ballston metro and to Interstate 66 and other commuter roadways.

11:  The Eastview Condo is located at 1001 Randolph Street. Like its sister building (the Westview), it is only a few blocks from the Ballston metro and is in the middle of plenty of places to eat, drink and shop. The 226 residences here were converted from apartments to condos in 2005. The amenities here include:  outdoor pool, fitness center, grill area and cyber cafe.

10: The Alta Vista is a high rise condo building located at 900 Stafford Street, right on top of the Ballston metro. This high rise condo, built in 1989, is home to 277 residential units and also shares the same building as the Hilton hotel, which takes up the first 8 floors of the building. Amenities include a fitness center, community room and a 24 hour concierge.

9:  The Virginia Square Condo is a high rise building located at 901 Monroe Street, just one block away from the Virginia Square metro. This 181 unit building delivered in 1998 and features an outdoor pool, gym, community room and garage parking.

8:  The Tower Villa Condo, located at 3800 Fairfax Drive, is another building located within a block of the metro. Built in 1974, this high rise building was one of the first in the area and has nearly 250 units. In addition to a concierge, amenities include an outdoor pool, underground parking and storage units for many condos. In addition to being near two metro stops, the Ballston Mall and several other shopping options are within walking distance.

7:  The Ballston 880 Condos are located at 880 Pollard Street. This high rise building is located between the Ballston and Virginia Square metro stops. Originally built in 2001 as apartments, the 123 units were converted into condos in 2005. Amenities include:  gym, business center and a pool.

6:  The Continental Condo building is located at 851 Glebe road at the beginning of the Ballston area. This high rise condo was built in 2003 and has 411 units and state of the art amenities such as gym, rooftop pool movie room and business center. The Ballston metro is only three blocks away and several major commuter roads are nearby. Many of the condos here have outdoor spaces and units on upper floors have great views.

5:  The Monore Condo, located at 3625 10th street, is a midrise building with 79 homes right in the heart of Virginia Square. This luxury condo was built in 2006 and features condos anywhere from just under 800 square feet to over 1,800 square feet. Amenities include:  rooftop terrace, fitness center, media room, library and more. All units come with underground parking and some have extra storage as well.

4:  The Lexington Square Condos are located at 3830 9th Street and 3835 9th Street, giving residents easy access to Clarendon and Virginia Square. Thee two high rise buildings are home to 367 condos as well as several amenities, including pool, fitness center, community room and more. Built in 2001, these two buildings are located steps away from several places to dine, drink and shop.

3:  The Berkeley is located at 1000 Randolph Street, between the Ballston and Virginia Square metro stops  The 83 condos here were built in 2004 and had luxury finishes. Amenities include:  fitness center, concierge and underground parking for several units.

2:  The Hawthorn Condo is a midrise building that was built in 2006 and has 135 units. This luxurious and modern building is located directly across the street from a Gold’s Gym, but residents also have the option of the condo’s fitness center. Many of the units here feature outdoor spaces and all come with underground parking.

1:  The Residences at Liberty Center are located at 888 Quincy street, which is within walking distance of Ballston and Virginia Square metro stops. This high rise building is home to 233 units and tons of amenities including:  rooftop pool and fitness center, party room, and a concierge service. Units on upper levels have great views of Washington D.C.
