Dan Lesniak and the Orange Line Team reveal the Rosslyn region in our Orange Line Madness Bracket Challenge. This challenge is our take on the annual March Madness basketball tournament. We took input from top Arlington real estate agents to determine the seeding. Earlier this week we unveiled the Clarendon and Courthouse Region. Today we will unveil the Rosslyn region and in the next few days stay tuned for the Ballstona and Virginia Square Region as well as the Townhome Region. After all of the regions are unveiled we will solicit more input from our pool of top Arlington real estate agents and see which condo or townhome wins the Orange Line Challenge.
Rosslyn Region
16: Located on Arlington Blvd. in the lower part of Rosslyn, the Riverplace Coops feature one of the best views and locations around. There are over 400 units located in four different buildings. The coops, which where built in 1952, have plenty of amenities and residents can walk to Rosslyn and Georgetown, giving you easy access to Arlington and DC.
15: The Corinthian condo, was built in 1974 and is located at 1401 Rhodes Street on the edge of Rosslyn and Courthouse. This mid rise building has 35 units. Amenities include a fitness center and a club room.
14: The Westmoreland Terrace Condos are a group of 147 garden style units located at 1314 North Fort Meyer Drive just a few blocks from the Iwa Jima memorial. This condo was built in 1947 and has amenities such as fitness center and a common laundry room.
13: The Palisades Garden Condos are located on Scott Street, just North of Lee Highway and are a short distance to the Rosslyn metro. Built in 1947, there are 133 units in this garden style developments. Amenities include a common laundry facility and parking is located outdoors.
12: Originally built in 1952 and then converted to condos in 1982, the Georgetown Vista is a garden style community that offers breathtaking views of Georgetown. Residents are just a short distance away from the Rosslyn metro and to Georgetown. Condo units range from studios, 1 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms.
11: The Dakota Condos are located at 1555 Colonial Terrace just steps away from the Rosslyn Metro. Built in 2002, this mid rise building features 14 luxury condo units, many which have Georgetown views.
10: The Belvedere Condo is a twin high rise building located at 1600 Oak Street that was built in 1987. Many of the condo homes here feature great views of DC and the monuments. Many of the common areas and amenities have since been renovated including an outdoor pool, lobby, fitness center and tennis court.
9: The Atrium is another high rise building in Rosslyn. Located at 1530 Key Blvd, this condo building was built in 1986 and has views of Georgetown and the Potomac River. Amenities include fitness center, tennis courts and a concierge.
8: The Terrace Lofts condo project is a midrise building that is located at 1633 Colonial Terrace, just a few blocks from the Rosslyn metro. The 34 units here range from one or two bedroom flats as well as two level homes. The condos come with one or two parking spots in semi-covered space with elevator access to residential area.
7: The Prospect House is one of Rosslyn’s long standing condos. Built in 1964, this 11 story building has 268 units and offers some of the best views of Washington DC. Amenities include a pool, fitness center, laundry room and 24 hour concierge. Located at 1200 Nash Street this historic condo building offers great views of the Iwa Jima memorial and the DC monuments and his just a few minutes walking distance away from the Rosslyn metro.
6: Like its namesake says, the 1800 Wilson Condo, is located at 1800 Wilson Blvd, just across the street from the Colonial Village Shopping Center. This 153 unit condo building is also home to several retail spaces. Built in 2006, this condo offers a very modern, luxurious feel and is walking distance to both the Courthouse and Rosslyn metro stops.
5: Located at 1201 Nash Street, the Memorial Overlook building houses 35 luxurious condos ranging from one to three bedrooms. This condo was built in 2002 and its location gives many of its residends breathtaking views of Washington DC and Arlington.
4: Gaslight Square, located at 1700 Clarendon Blvd (building 1), is Jim Abdo’s second condo project in Arlington and is made up of three different buildings. The first two buildings were built in 2012 and 2013 and construction is set to begin soon on building three. All of the condos here feature outdoor spaces and upper level penthouses feature rooftop decks. Lower level lofts feature two courtyards each and homes on the second floor or higher are accessed via private elevators.
3: Built in 2008, the Waterview Condo is one of the most luxurious and chic places to call home. Located at 1111 19th Street, this condo project is right in the heart of Rosslyn and is only a few steps away from the metro and from the Key Bridge. The homes come with high end, designer finishes and amenities include: rooftop terrace with grill, fitness center and concierge.
2: The Wooster and Mercer Lofts were Jim Abdo’s first project in Arlington and bring a Manhattan loft style feel to Arlington. These luxury homes feature exposed brick (reclaimed from the Washington Children’s Museum), exposed duct work, sub-zero and wolf appliances and soaring ceilings and windows. Located at 1600 Clarendon Blvd (Wooster) and 1615 Queen Street (Mercer), these two ultra-luxury buildings are located conveniently near plenty of shopping, dining and nightlife and have amenities such as an outdoor pool and fitness center.
1: Located at 1881 Nash Street, Turnberry Tower is a luxurious landmark amongst the Rosslyn skyline. This luxury high rise condo has 247 units ranging in size from 1500+ square feet to “home in the sky” penthouses with over 6,000 square feet. Luxury abounds here as most of the units have private elevators and all are appointed with Meile and Sub-Zero appliances, private terraces, floor to ceiling windows and more.
